I am Yaqueline Marquez also known as Jackie Marquez. The world says I have cerebral palsy, but God says I am healed. There are many layers and many facets to one's healing. I have been healed in the sense that I am not limited by the label of this world. I am a graduate from Saint Peter's University holding a bachelor's degree in foreign language. I have worked as an interpreter and translator for five years for early intervention agencies. I have also helped in ministries with interpreting and translating between Spanish and English.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
01.
Due to more recent events, a passion has grown in me to turn my struggles into a mission—helping people with disabilities know their rights and access real support. Instead of breaking me, God used it to ignite a fire inside me. And through it all, I believe in and know the power of prayer.
Now I want to advocate with Bold Faith, Justice, and Purpose, standing up for people with disabilities everywhere.
02. I used to take some breakdance classes.
03.
Madeline the TV show made me want to travel the world when I was younger. When I got saved, the Lord took that desire and began to put places like Europe, Central America, and Asia on my heart. I still desire to travel for fun and do ministry there one day.
My Journey to Healing
My life has been a rollercoaster, filled with ups and downs. Before I was born the enemy made an attempt on my life as I was supposed to die at birth. My premature birth caused a lack of oxygen and the stop of blood flow to my brain which affected the use of my arms and legs. The doctors did not give much hope to my parents that I would survive. Surprise! I am alive. I live because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit had last said over my destiny. I celebrated my 34th birthday this year … take that enemy! I have gone through seasons with the Holy Spirit learning to love myself. He taught me how to let go of the world's perspective of beauty and revealed to me the biblical meaning. He allowed me to see myself through His eyes. God has delivered me from a negative self-perception that stemmed from the verbal and emotional abuse I endured throughout my younger years. I saw myself as the ugly, black sheep. I was plagued with suicidal thoughts and ideas. Through deliverance, inner healing and forgiveness of those who hurt me, I found freedom.

"I Had to Change My Thinking"
Today, I am confident that I have a purpose and calling from the Lord. I am walking in that purpose. I live for the One who died for me. I am no longer shadowed by the world's perception of me. I am whole. I am beautiful. I am an overcomer. I am healed. I am grateful to the Lord, for He has done great things for me. He has shown me a love like I have never known, He has given me life. I am also grateful for my family who migrated to the United States during a time of civil unrest in El Salvador; because of their courage to leave, and seek out a better life, I am here.
